Facts about Veiavangen Lower Secondary School – Drammen Municipality
New building: 6,462 sqm, including a standard multi-purpose sports hall and an underground parking garage, which must be built to comply with the parking requirements in the zoning plan.
The existing classroom building, dating from 2010, is 2,988 sqm.
The auditorium is designed in accordance with NS-ISO 23591: Acoustic Quality Criteria for Rooms and Spaces for Music Practice.
The entire project must be delivered within a financial framework of NOK 461.7 million, in 2026 prices.
The contractor is Peab Bygg AS.
Contributions to the process so far
- Clarification of cultural functions and multi-use requirements in the requirements and functional descriptions
- Assessments related to the functional level of the auditorium, technical provisions and stage-technical needs
- Clarification of interfaces between building infrastructure, technical infrastructure and loose equipment
- Structuring and concretisation of user input in dialogue with the project’s other stakeholders
- Highlighting the relationship between function, acoustics, operations and cost risk
