Øvingshotellet – Oslo Rehearsal Centre
Øvingshotellet opened in 2009 and is operated by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in the City of Oslo. Located at Grünerløkka, it offers 49 fully equipped rehearsal rooms and serves more than 100,000 users annually.
The centre provides flexible, hourly rental spaces for musicians, bands, theatre groups, ensembles, workshops and creative production — making it a key part of Oslo’s cultural infrastructure.
My role included concept development, coordination of technical and functional requirements, and quality control of the specifications agreed. This included acoustics, building details, room functionality, and co-development of the online booking system specification.
I also contributed to the development of the operational organization, including staffing structure and recruitment of personnel.
